Best reporter contest
The ACP Board introduces the "Best reporter" contest. Everyone of you is invited to write about the event, using whatever format you prefer.
It can be a single report or day by day coverage. It can be a professional website or just a blog/Facebook entry. It can be in English or any other language.
Contribute and win
By the end of the tournament, the ACP Board will choose the three winners of the "Best reporter" contest, and each of them will be awarded with the special ACP prizes (with the total value of USD 600).

Regulations
Knock Out
- The ACP Cup will be a Knock Out tournament with sixteen participants.
- Regular Match games will be played according to the FIDE Laws of Chess for rapidplay.
- Tie-break games will be played according to the FIDE Laws of Chess for blitz.
- Zero tolerance rule will not be applied.
Drawing of lots
- The drawing of lots will take place during the opening ceremony on 12 September.
- The players will be ranked according to their FIDE rapid rating on 1 September 2013.
Pairings
- The pairings will be made as follows: four highest-rated players will be randomly paired against the four lowest-rated players.
- Consequently the players ranked 5 – 8 will be paired with the players ranked 9-12.
Regular Match
Matches will consist of two games, played with the following time control: 25 minutes each at the start of the game with an increment of 10 seconds per move from move 1.
Tie-break I
In case of an equal score, another match of two games will be played with the following time control: 3 minutes each at the start of the game with an increment of 2 seconds per move from move 1.
Tie-break II
In case of an equal score, the Armageddon game will be played, where White starts with 5 minutes and needs to win the game in order to win the match (sudden death game). Black, on his part, only needs a draw to win the match, but has only 4 minutes at the start of the game.
In this final tie-break game the increment (2 seconds per move) will be added starting move 61.
